MYRIAM SPRINGUEL founded Springuel Consulting in 1995 to help museums and related nonprofits respond to change – whether it is an expansion, a new museum, or enhancing existing programs – with clarity about mission and priorities.

MYRIAM SPRINGUEL
brings 25 years of experience in museum planning, management, exhibitions, education, and staff training. She now facilitates and implements strategic planning, collections interpretation, and related staff and board training.

As Associate Director for Programs at the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES), she translated SITES' mission into strategic planning, supervised 30 Project Directors, and was responsible for 60 exhibitions annually that travel to museums of all sizes and disciplines.

Prior to SITES, she curated fine arts exhibitions and developed education programs at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. She holds a Masters of Arts in Art History from the University of Maryland.

Ms. Springuel is a frequent presenter at conferences and has lectured internationally. She has published in museum journals and newsletters. She has served as a grant reviewer, and on national advisory committees. She has served on the boards of professional organizations and of a Florida history museum and nature center.

Rogene Patterson
Project Associate, has a solid background in the museum field and brings knowledge of art and art education. Her previous work in both the education and curatorial departments of the Colorado University Art Museum and the Denver Art Museum have equipped her with excellent programming and exhibition planning skills. Ms. Patterson holds a Master of Arts degree in Art History from the University of Colorado.

Nancy Galloway
Project Assistant, has a wide-ranging background in eco-tourism in East Africa, designing and implementing travel and safari programs combining history, wildlife conservation, archeology, and culture. She also worked with museums on historical preservation and organized projects for filmmakers working in East Africa.
